ROAD TO DEAF INTERPRETING
Catie Eller
RDI 4th Cohort Alumni

My name is Catie Eller and my pronouns is she/her/hers.

I was in the RDI 2015-2017 cohort and I am thrilled to be back to share knowledge and experience. I have participated in various trainings such as
DeafBlind Interpreting Institute (DBII, now known as PLI). I hold BFA and MFA in Photography and Film. I became a CDI with a strong encouragement from the DeafBlind community. I started as a volunteer for numerous years with DeafBlind community members, until one of them attended a community college and told them to hire me to interpret. In that moment, I became a professional Deaf interpreter. Currently, I am a part-time staff DI with MCDHH and I do freelance work in education, mental health, medical, and legal. I absolutely adore spending time with my two little coda nieces in Wisconsin and make every effort to visit them at least once a month. Hence, I am a regular at the Boston airport lately. I am looking forward to interacting with all of you!
